fast+Dirty 2014 at plan B’s unique base ‘The Shed’ Inverness. October 17-26.

fast+Dirty 2014 is a multidisciplinary workshop and residency developed by Ian Spink in 1983. Since then Ian has delivered over 20 workshops with professional and emerging artists from across the world. Although each workshop is unique, the basic premise remains the same: to create an environment to inspire and challenges artists to create new work.

Foyers Falls (The Waterfall Project) 2014/2015

The Foyers Falls project is an upcoming collaboration between Ian Spink, Bill Thompson and Alan Paterson based on the Foyers Falls outside of Inverness. The project is in response to the natural phenomena and history of the falls using sound, video and movement. Spaning mulitple residencies, Foyers Falls is projected to show in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and elsewhere later in 2014/2015.

Strike/Slip is an Airfield project inspired by the geology and local history of The Great Glen Fault which runs through Inverness. Choreographer Ian Spink, sound artist Bill Thompson and film maker Alan Paterson, working in collaboration with a group of Highland dancers (Julia McGhee, Lucy Boyes, Louise Marshall, Frank McConnell, Gabriela Sanche, and Misa (Maria-Louisa) Brzezicki) will create a series of landscapes using movement, sound and visual elements.
